Naloxone Training

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have adapted our naloxone training sessions to be virtual, with socially-distanced distribution of naloxone kits. Given the increases in opioid overdoses over the last few months, we recognize the importance of continuing to train campus and community members to recognize and respond to an overdose.

In our virtual training sessions, you will learn about the synthetic opioid crisis and harm reduction strategies. You will be trained with how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, including the administration of intramuscular naloxone. After this session, you can pick up a free Take Home Naloxone kit from us on the University of Alberta campus, or from your local pharmacy.
