Year and Program: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – 2nd year
One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: I’m super excited to run some in-person training sessions and distribute more naloxone kits this school year! As well, I look forward to putting on some educational seminars to promote harm reduction, public health safety, and stigma reduction – especially in vulnerable populations.

One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: I’m looking forward to creating more awareness around the Opioid Crisis in Edmonton. More specifically, I’m excited to have more member engagement in harm reduction education and activities throughout this year

One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: I am very excited to disseminate information on harm reduction, health promotion, and the mitigation of the opioid crisis throughout the U of A and Edmonton communities this upcoming academic year.

Year and Program: Bachelor of Science in Psychology – 3rd year
One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: I’m really excited to be an active member in a movement that aims to reduce the overdose crisis in the community. Raising awareness and helping raise funds for adequate resources to prevent or respond to those crises are so crucial to harm reduction, that I am humbled to be given this position that allows me to do that

Year and Program: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) – 3rd year
One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: This year I am looking forward to be back with The FentaNIL Project. I want to continue to expand our social media presence and connect with more people virtually for Naloxone training sessions. I am happy to back on campus, with hopes we can begin to connect in-person for naloxone and fentanyl test kit distribution!

VP Finance and Operations – Catherine Holody (she/her)

Year and Program: Bachelor of Science (BSc) with specialization in pharmacology – 2nd year
One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: This year, I’m thrilled to be financially organizing the FentaNIL Project. With a successful budget, hopefully our group will be able to raise substantial contributions for organizations such as Streetworks and also continue providing our community with Naloxone kits and fentanyl test strips.

Year and Program: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) – 4th year
One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: I am looking forward to another year of working with this awesome team! With my new position as VP design, I am excited to promote the importance of carrying naloxone and understanding how to respond to an opioid related overdose. Since many students will be back on campus this year I plan on creating different infographics to post around campus to get this information out!

One thing you’re excited to do with your club position: I am very excited to be part of the FentaNIL Project this year. As VP Education, I am most looking forward to providing education on the evolving opioid crisis as well as increasing the community’s knowledge on harm reduction strategies.
